School Review Training – Leading a Review

The course will equip lead reviewers with the skills to lead a team effectively and ensure the review process is adhered to as objectively, collegially and fairly as possible.
Course objectives
- To be able to lead, direct and organise a team of reviewers effectively on a school review.
- To identify the quality of and progress made by schools in relation to all academic standards.
- To use the evidence provided by schools in terms of their SEF, SDP and other documents to evaluate student achievement, quality of teaching and learning and impact of leadership and management.
- To identify and consider the school’s strengths and weaknesses in relation to education provision, leadership and pastoral care.

How the course is assessed: During the session participants will be asked to complete a range of activities. Full participation in the session is required including completing the feedback form in order to gain the certificate of participation.
