School leaders will recognize the significance of establishing clear priorities and receive ideas for strategies to support their progress. They will have the chance to enhance their skills, knowledge, and understanding of various aspects such as lesson observations, school data analysis, educational leadership skills, and accurate self-evaluation.
Course objectives
- Identify the frameworks utilized for school improvement across the UAE.
- Understand the sequence and procedures involved in the review and support process.
- Engage in self-evaluation of the process, including observations, interviews, and feedback.
- Review, practice, and evaluate effective report writing skills, emphasizing the ability to produce concise, accurate, and articulate documents.

Certification: Attendance to the session and completion of the evaluation is mandatory to complete the course and receive a certificate of participation.
How the course is assessed: Full attendance to the session and successful completion of course activities.
Prerequisites: It is recommended that participants have prior experience working in an educational setting, as this will provide a foundation for understanding the context and challenges involved in self-evaluation. Familiarity with school policies, procedures, and quality assurance processes will also be beneficial. Participants should have a strong command of written communication skills in order to effectively analyze and articulate their school’s strengths, areas for improvement, and development priorities in the SEF. Basic knowledge of data collection and analysis methods, as well as the ability to interpret and use educational data, will be advantageous.
