Posted by : deepshika | On : September 29, 2021Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) is mandatory for US curriculum schools. ADEK policy states that MAP is taken at least 2x each academic year. MAP is benchmarked for attainment and growth against district and international norms and measures attainment in reading, math, language usage and science (KG-12 in reading and math, G2-12 in language and G3-12 in science. The course is an introduction to support teachers in strengthening their knowledge around the related terminology and how the data can be interpreted to provide key information regarding student achievement thus positively impacting on the provision planned for students.
Course objectives
- Develop an understanding of data terminology and ensure definitions are used consistently i.e., attainment, progress, growth, value-added, RIT.
- Confidently define ability, attainment and progress for individuals and groups of students.
- Develop an awareness of MAP to support analysis and intervention. § Review the ADEK Inspection Framework for PS1 and correlate data to the attainment and progress expectations outlined.
