The course is an introduction to support teachers in identifying student learning preference. CAT4 examines four areas of thinking: verbal, quantitative, non-verbal, and spatial reasoning. Teachers will explore how CAT4 can be used to target set, identify support and intervention needs and provide important feedback for students and parents.
Course objectives
- Identify what is CAT4? An overview of CAT4 and the types of questions it consists of
- Explore the different report features and what the scores mean about each student.
- Develop an understanding of how CAT4 can be used to identify key students and subsequently support their learning.
- Reflect on current classroom practice and plan actions to ensure students can reach their full potential.
