The course aims to equip teachers with practical ideas for planning, teaching, and managing guided recitation at all levels. By integrating phonological awareness exercises, teachers can help students develop stronger phonemic awareness, which is essential for reading and language skills. Participants will have the opportunity to examine a guided recitation lesson, learn how to form appropriate groups for small-group instruction, and choose suitable Quranic verses for this purpose. Additionally, the course will provide insights on assessing students’ progress and creating meaningful literacy activities for all students in the classroom.
Course objectives
- Define the difference between recitation, intonation, intonation.
- Learn the skills of phonological awareness, and the mechanism of using them to support guided recitation sessions.
- Guided recitation is applied by working to identify the reading problems that students suffer from in the guided recitation class, after observation, description, hypothesis and treatment plans.
