This course will review the key components for planning for effective teaching and learning. Participants will explore the UAE Teacher Standards, authentic and traditional assessment methods, and the backward design model. A series of product and performance assessment methods will be reviewed and applied to planned learning.
Course objectives
- Review the purpose and format of assessment (formative and summative)
- Examine the backward design planning model to challenge the traditional modes of assessment.
- Construct creative assessment methods for planned learning objectives.
