I would like to express my gratitude to the Aldar Training Academy team for their expertise and the opportunity they provided me with to take part in the Teaching Internship Programme. From the beginning, they guided me during the training period and made sure I was equipped with a set of skills that helped me achieve the highest levels of professional development in accordance with international standards. In addition to this, their efforts to diversify modern teaching and learning methods were supported with constant guidance at the hands of those with expertise and competencies, including Ms. Maria and Ms. Hanadi. I would also thank Ms. Badriya Al Hosani who mentored me during my implementation of the best practices that I learned from the programme in the classrooms of the school Al Danah. This allowed me to experience a real-life context that I feel has impacted on the progress of my students.

After the training programme ended, the journey did not stop. I moved to work in one of the Aldar Education Schools where a systematic educational plan was created to allow me to implement everything I have learned. I also attended several professional development workshops, which enhanced my skills and enriched my experiences to be a high-quality teacher. Considering the standard of teachers in the United Arab Emirates, it became clear the importance of the role of a teacher as the main engine of the educational process. The teacher is the only one capable of attracting the attention of their students through the means and techniques used to help students achieve their educational goals during lessons. Furthermore, I learnt that it is the teachers’ words that leave a great impact on the souls of our students; the teacher can instil values, sciences and life skills.

As for my experience as a trained teacher, I can only describe it as wonderful. It bears many challenges however, it is a permanent catalyst for the development of personal, scientific and practical skills, to reach the desired and targeted goal, which is the education of generations who have chosen to learn to teach.
