As a member of the Aldar Education family, I was pleased to hear of the launch of Aldar Training Academy, whose teaching programmes help to prepare aspiring teachers. The programme gave the trainees confidence in the quality of what they were offering to the students, improving their performance levels to meet international teaching standards.

One of the most important features of the professional development workshops that I joined is that they were designed by educational experts who were working with us in the educational field thus, understanding the challenges we face. This meant that the training met our needs and was hosted in a training environment that simulates that of the school environment.

The learning styles of the trainees were considered, and they were empowered to move to the practical element of the profession to implement the pedagogy training they had received. As a mentor, I provided the trainee with regular feedback and was able to observe their improvement and enhanced performance.

In addition, the programme workshops had a positive impact on my career. I feel they qualified me to be the leader of professional development at Al Yasmina Academy as well as the training director for the MOE department. I now work as part of the teaching and learning team, where I take over the task of organizing courses, identifying needs, and supporting teachers to receive the necessary expertise and tools.

One of the most valuable experiences that I have acquired after attending the BAT programme is creating my own professional development content whereby, I have shared and poured my experience, passion and skills into sharing best practices for others in the educational field.
