“The Aldar Leadership Academy is designed to guide and support our aspiring Senior Leaders and School Principals so they can confidently take their next steps into school leadership. Through a bespoke programme of NPQ qualifications from the UK – which are researched based and encourage debate, critical thinking, and innovation – aspiring leaders develop their learning through practical case studies and school-based research projects. They learn how best to lead a learning community in the 21st century.

Alongside these internationally recognised and accredited qualifications are a set of tailor-made courses which provide the UAEs vision for education and underscore what an important role school leaders have in building the next generation. These additional leadership training workshops provide our local context, working alongside ADEK as our school regulator, as well as the expectations of Aldar Education. Topics include Child Protection, Financial Management of Schools, Critical Incident Training and School Governance.

By the end of the 18-month Aldar Leadership Academy course, successful candidates will be ready to confidently assume the responsibility of leading a school as Head of Primary or Secondary – or for more experienced leaders the opportunity to become the overall Principal of a large school and transform a shared vision into practice.
