This course provides leaders with an understanding of the role of a reviewer and the opportunity to develop a shared understanding of their schools’ strengths and areas for development. School leaders will understand the importance of having clear priorities and be given ideas on strategies to support them moving forward. Leaders will be able to develop their skills, knowledge and understanding of lesson observations, school data, educational leadership skills, and accurate self-evaluation.

Course Objectives:

To identify the frameworks that are used to improve schools across the UAE.
To understand the sequence and procedures of the review and support process.
To self-evaluate the process including observations, interviews and feedback.
To review, practice and evaluate effective report writing and understanding the skills required to produce a concise, accurate and articulate document.

Target Audience: This course is for senior leaders to develop their understanding of how school reviews can support the self-evaluation process.

Certification: Attendance to the session and completion of the evaluation and reflection is mandatory to complete the course and receive a certificate of participation.

How the course is assessed: The course is assessed full attendance to the session and through completion of course activities

Prerequisites: This course is suitable for teachers of the Arabic language subject.
