Leadership Coaching (Tier 3)
This course is targeted at middle and senior leaders and is invitation only. Please contact your school principal to discuss your participation.
Course Description
This course aims to refine the leadership impact of middle and senior leaders through the development of coaching skills. Over the course of 4 sessions, participants will explore a range of topics and issues related to coaching, and understand how to effectively apply these in their own settings. Participants will be required to undertake, and reflect upon, their own coaching sessions. The four sessions will cover:
- An introduction to leadership coaching
- Effective questioning and active listening
- Building rapport
- Reflective practice
The course is led by existing leaders from across the Aldar network.
Course Objectives
- To develop effective leaders who are capable of coaching teams and individuals towards agreed goals;
- To develop a knowledge of effective strategies, models, and approaches relevant to leadership coaching;
- To improve the quality of line management between middle/senior leaders and their teams;
- To develop environments of development and support.
Competencies
Effective communication; Developing self and others; Driving results.
Certification
Following the successful completion of the course, including 5 Apply tasks, participants will be awarded the ATA Certificate of Professional Development.
