This course is targeted at classroom teachers. 

Course Description

This course aims to give an introduction to how to support learners with special needs in your classrooms. This full day session will ask participants to engage with the research behind inclusion, explore a range of strategies required for High Quality Teaching (Quality First Teaching) and their intended impact and finally look at different ways to apply these in their settings.

The session aims are:

1. Identify what inclusion is and what it is not
2. Understand the benefits to all learners when we adopt inclusive practice
3. Explore how we can implement strategies in our own classrooms to make them fully inclusive

Certification

Following the successful completion of the course, participants will be awarded the ATA Certificate of attendance.
