This course will explore the guided reading approach and share practical ideas to support the planning, teaching, and management of guided reading at all levels. Participants will examine a guided reading lesson, learn how to form appropriate groups, and choose appropriate texts for small-group instruction. In addition, participants will receive ideas on how to assess students and create meaningful literacy activities for all students in the classroom.

How the course is assessed: Attendance to the full day workshop and completion of the evaluation and feedback form.
