This workshop explores the concept of rigor and its importance in the classroom. Participants will interact and evaluate various strategies and resources that can be embedded into the classroom to create opportunities for effective challenge, support and stretch.
This session has been contextualised using resources and strategies that support both face-to-face and online learning.
Course objectives

- To identify the concept of rigor and its importance
- To experiment and explore a variety of strategies that provide opportunities for rigor
- To adapt and implement strategies to ensure a depth of rigor in your classroom
Target Audience: Teachers, Middle Leaders, Senior Leaders
Certification: ATA Certificate of Attendance
How the course is assessed: Participants will be asked to participate in a follow up task that asks them to evidence and evaluate their use of one or more of the strategies/resources shared in the session
Prerequisites: This session is suitable for any practitioner who seeks to develop depth of rigor in their classroom or school.
