This course has been created to show how to better support the learners within your settings. It looks at the differences between ‘differentiation’ and ‘adaptive teaching,’ and explains what the latter looks like in your classrooms. It explores how assessment can inform pedagogy and gives a vast array of scaffolding techniques that can be incorporated into daily practice as recommended by the Education Endowment Fund (EEF).
Course objectives:
- To identify what adaptive teaching is and its benefits
- To experiment and explore a variety of scaffolding and adaptive teaching strategies
- To apply some of the strategies to my own teaching and reflect on them with my team/ department
Target Audience: Classroom Assistants, Class Teachers, SENCOs/ HOIs and Middle Leaders
Certification: ATA Certificate of Attendance
How the course is assessed: Attendance to the 2 hour workshop and completion of the evaluation and feedback form.
