This course is designed to support individuals develop their understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a teacher and introduces participants to teaching as a profession. Information concerning the role of education and educators, effective teaching and the rewards and challenges of teaching are presented. By the end of the course, participants will have an overview of the roles and responsibilities of a teacher, whether it be in a KG or grade 10.

- Discuss the roles and responsibilities associated with a career in teaching.
- Recognise that there are teacher standards and their place within teaching in Aldar Education.
- Evaluate interest in teaching as a career.
